1.Day , arrive Moscow
Arrival in Moscow. Transfer to the hotel, accommodation. Free time. Moscow for nigth. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
2.Day, Moscow city tour and Kremlin
Breakfast. Visit the city and its main places: Red Square, St. Basil’s Cathedral, Bolshoi Theater Square, Vorobjovy Gory, the vantage point where the University is located, Novodevicij monastery. In the afternoon, visit to the Kremlin territories with the entrance of two cathedrals and a visit to the Armory. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Breakfast. Visit of the house Boiardi Romanov. Visit of the Romanov house, branch of the Moscow Historical Museum, located in the center of Moscow. The residence belonged to the family that held up the fate of Russia for centuries. Visit the famous Eliseevskiy historical shop. Visit the Cathedral of Christ the Savior of Moscow. In the afternoon visit to the Stariy Arbat metro. Time for shopping. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
4.Day: Moscow – Sergeev Posad – Rostov-Yaroslavl 280 km. (overnight in Yaroslavl)
Breakfast and start of the grand tour in the golden ring that touches the fortified medieval cities of Vladimir, Suzdal, Kostroma, Rostov, Jaroslavl, Ivanovo, Sergjev Possad. They are museum cities rich in treasures and works of art, almost all included in the Unesco heritage. Let it be said that the holy city because the monuments they preserve are mostly religious. Every city is different from the other to have a complete knowledge you have to visit them all. It is a path of the highest cultural and aesthetic value, as well as an opportunity to learn about the romantic and endless Russian countryside, where meadows, birch woods and villages with wooden houses triumph. Departure for Sergeiev Posad and Monastery of St. Sergius: Visit to the Monastery of the Trinity of St. Sergius in Sergeyev Posad, 75 km from Moscow, spiritual center of Orthodox Russia. In its territory there are splendid churches erected from the fifteenth century, true masterpieces of Russian Orthodox architecture. Afterwards you continue to Rostov for the visit of the famous White Kremlin, and the central square of Rostov which is occupied by the Assumption Cathedral. In the evening I arrive a Jaroslavl. Dinner and overnight in Hotel in Yaroslavl.
5.Day: Yaroslavl – Kostroma 85 km
Breakfast. Visit of the Jaroslav. Guided tour of the city, founded in 1010 by the prince Jaroslav the wise. Of exceptional beauty are the Church of the Apparition of Christ from 1684, and the Monastery of the Transfiguration of the Savior XII century which served as the Kremlin. But the most important visit of the city is certainly that of the Church of the prophet Elia, built by a family of precious stones, the Skripin, and that promote exceptional frescoes representing the scene of the Bible with vivid references to everyday life as well as architectural references to interiors of houses and cities.
After lunch Departure for Kostroma and guided tour: the city was founded in 1152 on the right bank of the Volga, then destroyed by the Mongols in 1238 and rebuilt on the left bank. In the 14th century it was annexed to the Muscovite principality and was the beginning of the political decline. Visit of the territory of the Ipatievsky Monastery (15th century) in which there are several palaces and churches, among which the Trinity Cathedral stands out. Visit to the Museum of Wood Architecture. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Kostroma.
6.Day, Kostroma – Suzdal – Vladimir 220 km
Breakfast and departure for Suzdal. The visit of Suzdal city museum where time has stopped, the guided tour of the Monastery of the Savior and Sant Eufemio, the Kremlin is the open museum of wooden architecture, reconstruction of a Russian village from the 1700s. to Vladimir. Guided tour of the Cathedral of the Dormition, the Cathedral of Saint Demetrius and the Golden Gate. Vladimir is one of the oldest cities in Russia, having been founded in 1108 by Vladimiro the Monomaco. 7.Day: Suzdal – Ivanovo 80 km – Saint Petersburg with local flight 1.30
Breakfast and departure for Ivanovo. Visit of Ivanovo, the cathedral and the most evocative places. Ivanovo is called the capital of the Russian textile industry for hundreds of years. After the visit departure with the local flight to St. Petersburg. Arrival and transfer to the hotel and accommodation. The guided tour of the city begins with a stop at the Fortezza dei SS. Peter and Paul. St. Petersburg was born in 1703 at the behest of Tsar Peter the Great as the new capital of the Russian Empire. The Tsar called the best Italian architects the result is a city of unique beauty. There are numerous museums, jewels, palaces, churches and monuments. St. Petersburg is the city on the water, in fact it rises on the delta of the river Neva. After the city tour return to the hotel.

8. Day: St. Petersburg
Breakfast. In the morning guided tour of the Ermitage museum which occupies the complex of buildings (including the elegant Palazzo d’Inverno of the architect Rastrelli) which was the residence of the tsar. There are 2,700,000 pieces (paintings, sculptures, graphic works, archaeological finds, art objects of all kinds). After lunch in the afternoon excursion to Petrodvoretz- Peterhof, the palace of the tsar on the Gulf of Finland, famous for its splendours interiors and water games of fountains and waterfalls scattered throughout the park. Dinner and Overnight at the Hotel.
9.Day Saint Petersburg
Breakfast at hotel. Guided tour of the Pushkin-Tsarkoe Selo Palace (Tsar village). We will visit the rooms of the magnificent Palazzo di Caterina, second between here the infamous Sala D’Ambra. The visit includes the immense park surrounding the residence. Guided tour of the Cathedral of St. Isaac, the largest religious building in St. Petersburg for the size and richness of the interior. Free time for shopping, in the evening boat ride to St. Petersburg, rivers and canals to admire St. Petersburg from a particularly fascinating perspective. (optional)

10.Day: St. Petersburg – Return
Breakfast and departure for Pulkovo airport to return home.
