Compass Holidays will assume no responsibility whatever for passengers denied carriage by the airline or refused entry into any country.

1. Valid for USA/Canadian/Australia passport/ PR holder with English speaking tour guide service;

Every Travelers have to follow the whole itinerary. USD100/per day penalty will be charge for leaving the group

2.This is a sight-seeing and shopping tour, there are several shopping excursions are arranged during the tours. A minimum amount of time (60 mins) must be spent at each shopping site. However, there is no obligation to purchase anything. For those who are not very keen on shopping, visits to shopping sites should be treated as cultural learning experiences as well the products including jade, silk, tea, etc. are deeply ingrained in the Chinese culture and well worth learning.

4. The date of early arrival or extended stay guests without arrange free shuttle;
5. All the tour program including the attraction and hotels are subject to change;
6. The tour does not include additional costs when unforeseen or unavoidable circumstances or events arising. Unforeseen or unavoidable circumstances or events including private demand, flight delays / cancellations, the threat of war / potential threat of war, riot, civil strife, terrorism / actual terrorist activities, natural disasters, adverse weather conditions, etc. .

Day 01 Home City-Beijing

Departure from home city to Beijing. Please make sure that you have all your travel documents prior to departure date. Enjoy your trip with Compass Holidays.

Day 02 Arrive in Beijing

When arriving in Beijing, you will be greeted by one of Compass Holidays local representatives at the Beijing Capital Airport and then transferred to the hotel. The rest of the day will be all yours, and you can start exploring the city on your own.

Day 03 Beijing( Meals: Breakfast)

Have the day to yourself! Explore the capital city of China with a long and rich history. You can also take advantage of some of the optional tours and create some special memories.

Optional Day Tour: Icons of Beijing (USD$75/person, lunch included)
Start with Forbidden City, which is the former seat of the emperors throughout the Ming and Qing dynasties, a true architectural masterpiece and home to the National Palace Museum.
After lunch, proceed to the Summer Palace, an Imperial Garden in Beijing, another world heritage site on the UNESCO list.
Lastly, stop by Tongrentang Chinese Medicine Institute, which was designated to produce medicines for the royal pharmacy of the imperial palace of the Qing Dynasty for 188 years.
Optional Dinner: Peking Duck (USD$35/person)
Do we even need to explain? Peking Duck might be the best-known Chinese dish. And this optional dinner will provide you with an authentic tasting experience of Pecking Duck.

Day 4 Beijing (Meals: Breakfast/Lunch)

Start with the Great Wall (Juyongguan), one of the “Seven Wonders of the World” and the UNESCO heritage site that you can’t miss. Get a chance to climb a portion of this 3,700-mile marvel.
Then take a look at Beijing 2008 Olympic Center including the famous Beijing National Stadium aka Bird’s Nest and Water Cube from outside.
Lastly, visit one of the largest Jade Exhibitions in Asia enroute and see skilled artisans working at a Cloisonné Factory. Optional Night Tour: Beijing Kung Fu Show (USD$50/person)

Day 5 Beijing – Shanghai – Suzhou (Breakfast/Dinner on the airplane)

You can explore the beautiful city by yourself, or sign up for the optional tour program. After 5pm, take a flight to Shanghai (about 2 hours). Upon arrival at Shanghai airport then transfer to Suzhou directly by bus.(About one hour drive)

Day 6 Suzhou – Wuxi (Meals: Breakfast/Lunch)

Suzhou is known as the Oriental Venice for its exquisite canals, bridges, pagodas, and beautiful gardens.
After breakfast, start with the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Lingering Garden, a classic private garden with 500 years of history.
Then continue the trip with a visit to the Suzhou Silk Factory, the largest silk factory in the country to discover the mysterious producing of silk.
After tasting the local dish “Hong Shao Paigu”, which is Wuxi style pork ribs, cooked in a red style, topping a sauce of rice wine and soya sauce flavored with ginger, cloves, anise and black pepper.

Day 7 Wuxi – Hangzhou (Meals: Breakfast/Lunch)

Start off and head to Hangzhou, passing by and chilling at the fresh Water Pearl Farm.
Arrive in Hangzhou, described by Marco Polo as “the most beautiful and magnificent city in the world”.
Enjoy Dongpo Pork which is slowly cooked by braising fine-skinned and thin pieces of fat streaky bacon with famous Shaoxing wine in a sealed pot. When the dish is ready, the bacon will be moist and red, and the sauce will be thick and tasty. It tastes savory, sweet and tender, but not greasy.

Day 8 Hangzhou – Shanghai (Meals: Breakfast/Lunch)

Start with a cultural and natural heritage site in Hangzhou, West Lake, which is one of the top “can’t miss” sites in China. Wonder around and take some photos. West Lake is a great destination for leisure.
Optional boat ride tour on the serene West Lake: (USD$35/person)
West lake is the most renowned feature and the center of Hangzhou, noted for its scenic beauty which blends naturally with many famous historical and cultural sites. Take a boat ride to see the lake and the city from a different angle.
Taste the authentic local “Xiao Long Bao” (steamed buns) as lunch.
Then, visit the No.1 tea plantation and taste the well-known Dragon Well Tea, which is acknowledged as the best green tea in China, and of course in the world.
Later on, drive to Shanghai. Walk along the famous Bund, lined by the colonial architecture of European design build in early 1900s. This area is the best place to capture the Western influences in the old days. It is now the called “Wall Street of the East”.

Day 9 Shanghai -Home (Meals: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)

In the morning, visit the Shanghai Museum to see ancient Chinese art, furniture and jade, followed by a visit to an Emerald exhibition center.
Then visit the City God Temple Bazaar where you can find many specialty stores selling traditional Chinese arts and crafts, medicine and souvenirs.
In the evening, enjoy a farewell dinner in Shanghai style, called “Hu” cuisine, also known as “Benbang Cai”
