Side:
Side is a must-visit if you’re looking for an ancient Roman experience. Located about an hour away by car, this once-thriving port town was home to many affluent Romans and their villas. Today, it remains one of the best-preserved ancient sites in the region. Walk around the old town and explore the 2nd century amphitheater, Temple of Apollo, and other ruins. Olympos National Park:
This national park is home to several impressive waterfalls and rivers as well as numerous hiking trails through lush forests and rolling hillsides – perfect for a full day of outdoor adventure. The area is also known for its species of wildlife, such as wild boar and red deer, so keep your eyes peeled!
Kekova Island & Simena Village:
Boats run daily from Kaş Harbour to Kekova Island and Simena Village, where visitors can explore the area’s rich history dating back to the 4th century BC Lycia civilization. You can take a boat tour around these two sites or rent kayaks and paddle around on your own—make sure to bring plenty of sunscreens!
Belek Beach:
Belek Beach is only 20 minutes away from Antalya by car (or 45 minutes by bus). It has become a popular destination for its white sand beaches with crystal clear waters perfect for swimming, snorkeling, or lounging in the sun all day!
Cappadocia:
Last but not least, Cappadocia is about four hours away from Antalya by car but well worth the journey! This unique region features lunar-like landscapes filled with towering rock formations called “fairy chimneys” which were formed millions of years ago by volcanic eruptions! Take a hot air balloon ride over this breathtaking landscape or hike along one of its many trails—the choice is yours!
